Q: How does the Greenpower Hippocrates extract maximum juice?
A: Three different design features allow the GreenPower Hippocrates to extract more juice from fruit, vegetables and wheatgrass:
- The design and close alignment of the twin gears (4/1000 of an inch apart).
- Slow revolutions, allowing the food to be juiced again and again, removing a maximum amount of juice.
- Pulp outlet provides control over the amount of pulp extracted with juice
Q: Is it made from plastic?
A: Plastic is used for the parts of the Green Power that do not touch the juice. All parts of the machine that touch the juice are stainless steel or acetyl, a polymer.
Q: Why is slow, heat-free juicing so important?
A: Fast juicing mechanisms can overheat juice, destroying the fragile, beneficial living enzymes found in natural produce. It’s a trade-off between convenience and health. Conventional juicers will process fruits and vegetables with great speed, but they can also obliterate many nutrients that make these foods beneficial in the first place.
The Greenpower Hippocrates gears rotate at only 110-150 revolutions per minute. Feeding natural produce through the GreenPower Hippocrates gradually ensures proper extraction. While this takes a little longer than conventional, high-speed extractors, you'll notice the difference once the juice comes out. There's less pulp, less waste, more flavour and more juice for every kilogram of natural produce extracted by the GreenPower Hippocrates. It also produces exceptional results when juicing green, leafy vegetables and wheatgrass.
Q: How does it maximize the flavour of juice?

Q: What are the twin gears made from?
A: The metal section of each twin gear is fine grade stainless steel. The end pieces are nylon.
Q: When I juice wheat grass I get foam. Is that oxidation?
A: Not in this case. Getting foam while juicing wheat grass is just like creating bubbles in soapy water by briskly moving your hand back and forth. It is a physical change, not a chemical one. One of the constituents of wheat grass is saponin, a natural sudsing agent.
Q: What maintenance does it require?
